NEW YORK – HXE Partners is proud to be recognized as Supporting Partner of the Year of the Green Lease Leaders program. Green Lease Leaders recognizes landlords, tenants, and teams using green leases as a tool for energy savings, healthier spaces, and better buildings. HXE has helped six clients receive Green Lease Leaders recognition to date.
This year’s winners were announced by the Institute for Market Transformation and the U.S. Department of Energy’s Better Buildings Alliance. The cumulative commercial floor space managed by Green Lease Leaders is now more than 5 billion sq. ft.
As an advisor to publicly traded and privately held real estate owners and operators across asset classes, we believe it’s critical to bridge and align the incentives between energy efficiency investments, resilient buildings, and corporate environmental, social, and governance (ESG) goals for landlords, tenants, and brokers. We view green leasing as a key tool to help clients execute their sustainability and ESG strategies.
“Programs like GLL are essential in empowering companies to execute on their broader sustainability and ESG goals,” says Harry Etra, CEO of HXE Partners. “ESG best practices and resilient portfolios remain a priority for real estate investors. Setting clear short-, medium-, and long-term targets — including implementing green leases — is the only way companies can structure their sustainability and ESG programs, measure their progress, and do their part in the transition to a low-carbon economy.”
